Farmhouse Architecture

Hello everyone!

Are you happy that it's the weekend?  Well, hopefully, you're able to put your feet up and relax a little.  I thought I would share with you some pics from a construction site my husband and I visited recently.  We're always popping in new subdivisions and checking out new homes for future reference.  We stumbled upon this one, just the next county over from us, and probably only 15 minutes from our current home!  It was a small street with nothing but large farmhouse style homes on large flat lots being built.  We fell in love with it!  The homes are quite amazing.  So, I snapped some pics to share with you (and for my own personal reference).  You have to keep an open mind though since they are clearly unfinished.  The lots are bare with no landscaping, no lighting, no appliances, unfinished floors etc.  But, it looks great even at this stage!

This is what we first saw driving up.

Dressing up the Porch for Summer

Hello everyone!

Due to all the rain we've had lately here in GA, I wasn't able to use my cushioned outdoor furniture on our back deck very much.  We kept taking off the cushions and letting the water drain after a big storm.  I was worried that the cushions were going to get ruined and I didn't want the hassle of covering them with a tarp all the time.  So...............I decided to put them on the front porch since it's covered.  It has now become my favorite place to go to relax and unwind. Luckily, our front porch is very private.  It's surrounded by trees and not close to the street.

Refined Ruffles

Hello everyone!

I wanted to share some bedding changes that I've made lately.  I still have my Beddy's Bedding (which I love), but since my dog sleeps with us and had a few accidents on it I temporarily switched back to my ruffled quilt.  It is easier to wash.  I added some linen ruffled pillow cases that I found from an Etsy shop too.

Unique and Practical Wall Art

Hello everyone!

How has your week been?  I hope it has been good.  I'm excited about this holiday weekend since it marks the beginning of July and it is one of my favorite months of the year because it isn't as busy as many others.  The weather is usually nice and my schedule isn't so slammed.  June is always hectic and expensive!  Bye Bye June.  Ha!

Speaking of expensive, have any of you noticed some changes over at PicMonkey?  They added a new feature for saving photos, called Hub.  It took me forever to figure out that I don't have to sign up for it and can now use "export" to save my photos to my computer like I usually do.  I think they purposely set it up like that to confuse people in to thinking they had to sign up and pay money to use their site!  I figured it out after about 30 min of being frustrated and actually signing up for their trial.  Then, I cancelled it once I realized how their site looked different and "export" had then replaced "save".  Did you catch that too?

Well enough of my ranting.  I just thought I would pass that on in case you were experiencing the same thing.

I wanted to share some different forms of wall art that I'm using now.  First, I found these adorable flowers from Hobby Lobby that you can hang on the wall!  I hung them in my powder room.
